Lord Lexton O.B.E. Deputy Speaker of the House of Lords giving a lecture in Tamworth
I am a staffordshire event photographer based in Tamworth. This is one of the first events I have photographed in 2025.
The event was held at Tamworth’s Castle Hotel. Lord Lexden, the deputy speaker in the House of Lords gave an extremely interesting explanation of why Sir Robert Peel issued his manifesto, and why that proved to be so important and relevant, even in today’s political world. He then expertly answered questions from members of the very knowledgeable audience.
The talk was followed by a visit into Tamworth Town Hall, courtesy of the Mayor, Gareth Coates, who can be seen at this end of the front row of seating.
I managed to get some great shots during the meeting which will be used for promotional purposes by the Peel Society.
